Hosting and technical logs
This website is served through GitHub Pages. GitHub may process IP addresses and request data to deliver the site, maintain security, and operate its services. See GitHub's privacy statement.
Optional Google Analytics
With your permission, we load Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, useful articles, and use of the planner. Before you choose Allow analytics, our consent controller does not load Google's analytics library or send analytics events. Rejecting analytics does not affect access to articles or tools.
After consent, Google receives information such as page visits, timestamps, browser and device information, referral sources, cookie identifiers, and technical request data including your IP address. Google processes this information according to its service settings and policies. Data may be processed outside your country. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner sites.
Our explicit events measure article opens, saved guides, scroll milestones, and planner start, completed layout, save, and print actions. Our custom events do not include floor dimensions, furniture positions, search text, email addresses, or other form answers. The page URLs sent by our code omit query strings and fragments. Enhanced measurement is switched off in our Analytics stream. Google Signals and user-provided data collection are also switched off. Detailed location and device collection remains enabled, which can include city-level location and device metadata. Analytics advertising personalization is disabled for all regions.
We rely on your consent for optional analytics. User-level and event-level Analytics data have a two-month retention setting, with resetting on new user activity switched off. This setting does not limit the retention of most standard aggregated reports.
Your choice and cookies
Choose Allow analytics or Reject analytics in the banner. We remember your choice in this browser's local storage for up to 180 days. You can reopen Analytics choices in the footer to change it. Withdrawing permission stops our analytics collection, removes accessible Google Analytics cookies, and reloads the page. Withdrawal does not erase data already collected by Google.
After permission, Google Analytics uses cookies such as _ga and a property-specific _ga cookie to distinguish visits and sessions. Our tag requests a 180-day cookie lifetime without extending it on each visit; your browser may apply a shorter lifetime. Advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization are denied by our integration. We do not enable Google Signals. No advertising or affiliate tracking scripts have been installed by us.
Planner, search, and saved ideas
The planner calculations and site search run locally. Patio layouts are saved in browser storage only when you choose Save in this browser. Saved layouts include measurements, furniture and opening positions, rotations, locks, a name you enter, and a save date. They are not uploaded or synchronized. You can remove individual saved layouts in the planner, download a layout file as a backup, or clear website storage in your browser settings. Opening a downloaded layout reads that file locally. Tile-plan downloads contain the measurements and estimates shown in the tool. Our custom analytics events report tool actions, not the values you enter. Saved article identifiers and your analytics preference are stored on your device. Saved ideas are not synchronized between devices. Remove a saved guide with its bookmark button, or clear website storage in your browser settings. Clearing the analytics preference makes the site ask again.

Your privacy rights
Where applicable under data protection law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, or data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time through Analytics choices in the footer without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Contact us using the details above to exercise your rights. You may also complain to the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic or another competent supervisory authority.
Messages sent through our contact form
We use Formspree to receive contact messages. If you submit the form, your email address, optional name, selected topic, message, and technical request information are processed by Formspree and our email providers so we can receive and answer your enquiry. The submission service may require a Google reCAPTCHA spam check. The form does not subscribe you to a mailing list.
Contact-message processing is separate from optional Google Analytics. Our own analytics code does not send the contents of contact fields. We do not embed Formspree or reCAPTCHA scripts in this page; submission and any spam check take place through the submission service. See Formspree's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.
Messages may be processed outside your country. Please do not include passwords, payment details, or sensitive personal information. You may use the contact form for a question about a message you previously sent. We process contact messages on the basis of our legitimate interests in answering enquiries, correcting content, and maintaining relevant correspondence. Providing your email address and message is necessary if you want us to receive and answer an enquiry; your name is optional. We keep contact correspondence only for as long as it is needed to handle the enquiry and any related follow-up. We review retained correspondence at least once a year and delete or anonymize messages that are no longer needed, including copies in our email inbox. A completed enquiry alone is not a reason to keep a message indefinitely. Where a continuing business relationship, a legal obligation, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of a legal claim requires particular messages to be retained longer, we keep only the relevant material for as long as that purpose requires. Formspree archive retention is separate from the copies delivered to our inbox; deleting one does not delete the other.
